CHEAP IMITATION (Göteborg, Vips & Vaps.)
Cheap Imitation gör skev dubpop. Ljudbilden består av allt från en trasig frys på Hemköp, ett utrop från ett tåg under vattnet, en spelhall i Tokyo, en efterfest på Valand och en mängd instrument såsom Fröken Laabans ostämda piano, kyrkorgel, cello, analoga syntar, melodica, gamla trummaskiner, looppedal och sampler.
Live leker Cheap Imitation fram edits av sitt inspelade material från studion, såsom DJ’s gjorde på 80 talet när hip hop och house musiken växte fram. Som mixas med live inspelade loopar och samplingar.
I våras släppte Cheap Imitations första kassett Somewhere Beyond The Sea på förlaget Vips & Vaps.
