SORK och SONSON släppte sina debutalbum på samma tyska bolag (Kapitän Platte) i mitten av mars och åker senare i vår på €uro-turnering tillsammans. Åtta jättesvenskar mot drygt 80 miljarder tyska personer (!!) under lika många dagar.
Innan vi beger oss tänkte vi fira allt detta gôr-goa med en fyrverkeri-fest av rang, med allt vad det innebär.
Dagen är 12:e April, platsen är Galleri Oro, tiden är 20.00 och priset är 80:- kontant.
Vi framför vår uuuunderbara raket-musik och visar filmer och bilder från andra världar – alltsammans i utsökt miljö . Ni lyssnar och tittar och gnabbas säkert lite och snackar kanske alldeles för högt hela kvällen i trevliga samtal med fantastiska människor.
Det kommer finnas massvis av alkohol, LP-skivor och CD-skivor och tröjor, kassar och många andra små små grejer att stoppa i fickorna, till försäljning! Vid tidig ankomst finns det god soppa som Sara Lännerström komponerar. Bakom skivspelarna kommer Patrick van Ginhoven, Hanna Östergren och Hanna Eliasson (Lupo Manaro) spela den musik som ni gillar att ha trevligt till.

SORK is a high energy danceable noise attack. Pontus Torstensson plays uncompromisingly precise and heavy drums plus a round of ear bending samplings. Helena Engarås creates hypnotic fuzz grooves on her bass guitar. Magdalena Ågren screams, sings and makes fascinating noise using a skronky old trombone, megaphone, stylofone, and organ. SORK is releasing their second album in Mars this year on Kapitän Platte. First album is released on Surplus Recordings.

Sonson plays psychedelic rock/popish music with a blend of krautrock monotony. It can be dark and loud and fuzzy with hypnotic rhythms and it can be smooth like silk and swirling oil with dynamic pulses and entangling melodies. The music is often cinematic, based on moods and feels, with the intension of letting your mind sail away on open waters.
The quartet based in Gothenburg, Sweden, was formed in 2010. Their first release was their SONSON EP on German label Kapitän Platte (2013) followed by two tours around Germany and Switzerland. The debut album, “A Shine Below the Mound”, will be released in March 2014 by the same label.
Sonson has played with bands like Goat, Dope Body and Rhyton to name a few.
Their music is loosely based upon the spirit of the tales of late S. Dahlström.
