KIKAGAKU MOYO
Kikagaku Moyo (Japanese for ‘Geometric Patterns’) started in the summer of 2012 on the streets of Tokyo. Since then they have toured extensively to high acclaim, playing in Japan, Australia, the U.S. and the U.K. with notable appearances at Austin Psych Fest, Sydney Psych Fest, Desert Daze and Tokyo Psych Fest.
They have shared the stage with Moon Duo, Dream Time, White Manna, Eternal Tapestry and many more.
Their first S/T record was released by Cosmic Eye Records/Sound Effect Records (GR) in 2013 and sold out in 2 days. It has since been reissues on vinyl by Captcha Records (US) and on cassette through Burger Reords.
Their second record ‘Forest of lost Children’ was released by Beyond Beyond is Beyond (US / NY) in 2014. The same year also saw the release of the EP ‘Mammatus Clouds’ on Cardinal Fuzz (UK) and Captcha Records (US)
Kikagaku Moyo are all diverse instrumentalists employing sitars, traditional drums, theremins, wind instruments and unique vocal arrangements to create a sound that is both powerfully present and spacious.

Sonson plays psychedelic rock/popish music with a blend of krautrock monotony. It can be dark and loud and fuzzy with hypnotic rhythms and it can be smooth like silk and swirling oil with dynamic pulses and entangling melodies. The music is often cinematic, based on moods and feels, with the intension of letting your mind sail away on open waters.
The quartet based in Gothenburg, Sweden, was formed in 2010. Their first release was their SONSON EP on German label Kapitän Platte (2013) followed by two tours around Germany and Switzerland. The debut album, “A Shine Below the Mound”, was released in March 2014 by the same label.
Sonson has played with bands like Goat, Dope Body and Rhyton to name a few.
Their music is loosely based upon the spirit of the tales of late S. Dahlström.
